Dave generally travels with his own guitar microphone, but he's open-minded about checking others out. He does not, however, use any kind of pickup system. Dave will provide a guitar mic feed for the house. He does not need phantom power, but he does require two power outlets. A power strip is fine for this. A small mixer is fine (Dave uses two channels, generally). While he doesn't sing, he does talk once in awhile and would like a Shure SM-58 or better microphone for that purpose He also needs two boom stands, one for your mic and one for his. In addition, he needs any regular straightback chair that isn't made out of plastic. A low table would also be handy. A couple of clean handtowels would be really nice and some water.

A soundcheck should be done before the audience arrives. Please check the house speakers first; it's always possible that a monitor won't be needed. One monitor right in front is plenty, if it turns out to be necessary. Dave generally travels with three guitars; we'll generally start with the most problematic and get that one sounding right, then check the other two. Lastly, we'll check the vocal mike.

It would be really nice to have some help with CD sales, but it's not absolutely necessary, if you're short staffed.

Hopefully you have a green room or other place to hang out, change clothes and get ready.

If any of this stuff creates a hardship, please let us know and we'll work on it together. Dave travels with some spare parts so most common problems are relatively easy to solve.
